Joann and I are winding down another summer at Three Pines. Of course we will be open this winter as usual but the pace will be some what slower. Stuart Shils and Ken Kewley's Workshop this Spring and Ken's this Fall were outstanding. We had the opportunity to meet some really interesting new people. It is exciting to us to have these artists and their students with us. The coming election is much on our minds and will be glad when it is over so we will know what to expect.

Insight

We are so lucky in the artists we have contact with through the studio. It is very insightful to read what they write about their work. for example from Stuart Shils :

e-mail marketing

We sent out an e-mail copy of Ken Kewley's postcard today using a free up to a point e-mail service-mailchimp.com. I have been very impressed with what a great job they do. One wonders however whether or not you annoy more people with an e-mail than you stimulate. What do you think about careful e-mail marketing? Iknow I hate the ones that come everyday.

Ken KewleyWorkshop and Show

We are really excited about the May 14 Workshop and show of Ken Kewley. We have been very lucky to see his work as it has been made. Joann is thrilled about the class since she is going to take it. I am getting a whole new view of art through these interactions. If you get a chance come to see what is happening 2nd week of May.
