Insight

We are so lucky in the artists we have contact with through the studio. It is very insightful to read what they write about their work. for example from Stuart Shils :

e-mail marketing

We sent out an e-mail copy of Ken Kewley's postcard today using a free up to a point e-mail service-mailchimp.com. I have been very impressed with what a great job they do. One wonders however whether or not you annoy more people with an e-mail than you stimulate. What do you think about careful e-mail marketing? Iknow I hate the ones that come everyday.

Ken KewleyWorkshop and Show

We are really excited about the May 14 Workshop and show of Ken Kewley. We have been very lucky to see his work as it has been made. Joann is thrilled about the class since she is going to take it. I am getting a whole new view of art through these interactions. If you get a chance come to see what is happening 2nd week of May.

World Problems

I think the three major problems of the planet are in no particular order environmental destruction, religious fanaticism and unequal distribution of wealth. They are all getting worse and hardly anyone is really trying to change things.

Comming up for the 4th of July weeekend.

Joann gives a talk on tablescapes on Wednesday. We have a Gallery walk on Thursday, an opening of an exciting show by Jim Casper, and the Cross village Parade on Saturday at 1:00pm. The Walshs have their 40th on Saturday also. Busy weekend to start the season.

Hookers

I took Amy Oxford to her plane this morning ending a great visit and a three day workshop where they hooked coverings for foot stools. Amy is a terrific teacher and interesting person. Sorry for those of you who missed her visit.

project Restart

I started this blog but quickly ran out of ideas or maybe I am just shy. Susan T. thought I could use it to talk about Three Pines. So I will. We have just finished another great class with Stuart Shils. I think it was his best but maybe it was the best bunch of students that we have ever had. I hope everyone was as stimulated by the class as Joann and I were. Check out the class picture.
